Blaž is an expert in foresight, governance, EU relations, digital economy and law. Currently, he is Country Manager at Heliot Europe in Slovenia, a part of Heliot Group, an exclusive operator for Sigfox network, the world’s leading Internet of Things (IoT) services provider. Heliot Europe is at the moment actively present in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Lichtenstein and Slovenia. At Heliot he is also responsible for development of smart cities area. Prior to this, he was CEO at GFS Institute, European Blockchain hub, Center for eGovernance Development for South East Europe and startup SmartIsCity Ltd., that was selected between 20 most promising Smart City solution providers in 2016 according to the Silicon Valley CIO Review.
