The ultimate “make-it-happen” person, Cristobal Alonso is a serial entrepreneur and the Global CEO of Startup Wise Guys – Europe’s leading B2B accelerator and one of the most active early-stage investment companies in the Nordics & Baltics. Cristobal has a degree in business administration and an MBA by INSEAD, the world’s leading business school. In the past, he has been co-founder, Chairman and CEO of Mobofree, at the time leading Africa’s social Marketplace, He also co-founded a mobile application start-up, mmCHANNEL, as CCO and interim CEO, raising €2M VC round. He sits on the board of more than 10 startups he has invested in since 2010. On his corporate side, he has led several transformation and turnaround efforts across different countries and cultures. Cristobal was the Chief Transformation Officer at Telenor and has worked for several other mobile operators, leading a turnaround on the technology department (IT and Network) and another one as Director of Corporate Planning & Strategy. Prior to that, he spent over 10 years as a consultant on a variety of strategic and operational projects in the TMT space. Finally, Cristobal has extensive experience as “the public face” of media outreach campaigns and as a frequent speaker at Webinars, Startup and Telco conferences and panels. He is Spain’s INSEAD Alumni Association President. He is in the process to finalize his 1st book #Perform, the Unsexy Truth about (Startup) Success, together with his co/author Stoyan Yankov.
