Dr. Samo Peter Medved, Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Maribor, has a university degree in civil engineering and has been working in civil engineering for almost 30 years. As a designer in the field of civil engineering and a long-term director and co-owner of one of the largest engineering companies in Slovenia – Lineal, he has participated in the most demanding projects in Slovenia and abroad. He is also active in the Chamber of Engineers of Slovenia, where he holds the position of chairman of the board of the main section of civil engineers. Slovenia and one of the initiators of the beginning of digitalization of the construction sector in Slovenia. He is the president of the program council at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Transport and Architecture in Maribor and a member of the program council of the Society for Research in the Road and Traffic Profession of Slovenia. Additionally, he was also the head of the working group of authors who prepared the strategic document Action Plan for the Introduction of Digitization in the Field of the Built Environment of Slovenia.
