Walter Kirsch is a System Architect for multicopter applications working at Infineon Technologies Austria AG after receiving his MSc in Electrical Engineering at the FH Kärnten in Villach. His main topics cover research and development of semiconductor technology in consumer drones, agricultural/industrial drones and recently all the way up to manned aircraft. Student supervision in latest multicopter related topics such as motor control soft/hardware and sensor fusion algorithms for obstacle avoidance are also hot research topics is also part of his duties. His drone racing skills (attended world championship in drone racing 2018 and 2019) also come in handy to evaluate and judge the performance of new developed systems and algorithms.
