Marko Kac is a senior innovation and entrepreneurship professional working at the intersection of startups, public policy, and regional development. He is currently Senior Lead & Consultant at Tovarna podjemov – Venture Factory, where he contributes to strengthening the national startup and VC ecosystem. Marko is also Co-Founder of the Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Maribor, with long-standing experience in innovation management, EU programmes, sustainable development, and strategic planning. Previously, he held senior roles at SPIRIT Slovenia Business Development Agency and RRA Podravje – Maribor, working on smart specialisation, green and digital transformation, and regional RDI ecosystems. His career spans extensive international experience across EU and pre-accession countries, connecting public and private stakeholders.
