Anna Krzyżanowska is an Adviser to the Task Force on Startups and Scaleups at the European Commission, where she works with policymakers and stakeholders on developing and implementing the first European Strategy for Startups and Scaleups. Previously, she advised on access to investment for innovation, leading work on mobilising finance for breakthrough technologies, including public–private partnerships in clean energy and innovation financing. Her earlier roles covered Mission Innovation, digital transformation, broadband policy, and coordination with international financial institutions, including the EIB and EBRD. Before joining the European institutions, Anna worked in management education and spent seven years at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, supporting financing operations across Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia. She holds an MBA from INSEAD.
