Charlotte Taft is a principal at Pan-Adria Partners, a sector-agnostic Slovenian VC fund focusing on startups looking to scale-up. She has lived in Slovenia for over 25 years and first came to Slovenia on a Fulbright scholarship to study S&T policy and technology transfer in particular. Charlotte grew up in Washington, DC and her background is in molecular biology and English literature. In her work at the US Embassy Slovenia over the past 15 years, she has focused on ESTH (environment, science, technology & health), education and entrepreneurship. In 2012, she created SEI, an entrepreneurship program for Slovenian university students with over 250 alumni of which 30% have started their own companies or worked in a startup. She loves connecting people, solving problems, and helping people to develop their innovative potential.
