Franci Zidar, Founder of Bird Buddy, revolutionized bird watching with smart bird feeders that use AI to identify and capture photos of visiting birds. What started as a record-breaking Kickstarter campaign has grown into a global success, raising over 20 million euros in funding and generating more than 100 million euros in revenue—primarily in the U.S. To date, Bird Buddy has produced 280,000 smart feeders and sold over 250,000 units, with 90% going to the American market. Before Bird Buddy, Franci founded the digital agency Proxima and developed Nexto, a smart mobile guide for discovering cultural landmarks.
