Iztok Renčelj has spent more than two decades at the intersection of IT and AI technologies. At Pošta Slovenije, he served in multiple leadership roles—including Director of the ICT Division, Director of Innovation & Research, and CEO of a subsidiary—where he implemented and managed complex information systems, crafted innovative business models, and introduced cutting-edge technologies.
His contributions have earned several awards for excellence in IT-organization management and cybersecurity. Beyond the company, he has been active in professional associations and initiatives such as the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia and SRIP PMIS, and he sat on the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Service Provider Advisory Board.
In the research arena, Iztok collaborates with the International Research Centre on Artificial Intelligence under the auspices of UNESCO (IRCAI). He is also the founder and CEO of the startup EdgeTech, where he leverages his technical and executive expertise to help companies integrate sophisticated AI solutions efficiently.
