Jurij Verhovnik, Master of Economic Sciences, is an expert in entrepreneurship, digitization, innovation, an experienced consultant for business planning, strategic development and a researcher in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation. He has conducted more than 800 workshops on various corporate topics and more than 4,000 hours of personal consultations for start-ups, SMEs and large companies. Jure Verhovnik has many years of experience in working with SMEs and European projects. In recent years, it has been part of more than 35 projects financed by the European Commission. He published the “EU Funds” handbook for Slovenian SMEs. In the past, he worked in the field of support for entrepreneurs as the head of the Venture Factory – business incubator of the University of Maribor and for many years co-organizer of the PODIM conference. At the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, he participates in international projects in the field of entrepreneurship and digitization (Digifed, Digital regions) and leads the consortium CODIL and DIGITRANS.
