Dubravko Babić co-founded and served as vice president RF electronics at Eridan Communications, Inc. (Santa Clara, California), a start-up company developing software-defined RF transmitters for wireless communications based on direct polar amplifier architecture. Now he serves as a part-time managing director at the company. He used to be a member of technical staff at HP (Hewlett-Packard Laboratories), where he realized he wanted to start a company on his own. In 1999, he founded his first startup Alvésta Corporation, a manufacturer of 10Gb/s multichannel fiber-optic modules, where he served as the company’s first chief executive officer and then in 2001 as chief technical officer. In 2012, he joined the faculty of University of Zagreb, Croatia.
